A few years ago, through the wonderful healing of a friend, I came to Christian Science when in great physical need. I had been having treatment from physicians for what they named gallstones, but was growing steadily worse. Through Christian Science treatment this trouble was overcome. There was also a large growth on my right wrist, which expensive and painful treatment had failed to cure. As my concept of God, man, and the universe became more spiritual, this growth disappeared, and the wrist is now normal.

I had been brought up in a religious home, as my father was a minister, but had grown away from these teachings. Now I am so glad and grateful for membership in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and for the privilege of attending the Sunday services and the Wednesday evening meetings, as I always get some healing thought from each service. Through the study of Mrs. Eddy's writings and the Lesson-Sermons, and the help that the Christian Science periodicals bring daily, weekly, and monthly, I am gaining a clear concept of God as our loving Father-Mother, the "Life that maketh all things new" (Hymnal, p. 4). Christian Science has helped my husband in business, in making important decisions, and has taken away to a great degree our sense of lack and limitation. It has healed out daughter of most annoying and painful boils and has overcome severe sore throat and colds. While canning fruit in the summer of 1917, I was badly scalded twice, but by declaring the truth was able to go on with my work, and the healing came quickly and beautifully.

Christian Science has done so much for us and has given us so many good things to enjoy I cannot enumerate them all. It is teaching me that Mrs. Eddy's statement on page 13 of Science and Health, "Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals," applies to us when we are willing to be governed by and obedient to the spiritual law of Love. During the past year I have had the great privilege of class instruction, and this I esteem something to be especially grateful for.—(Mrs.) Hannah C. Knapp, Detroit, Mich.
