Words are inadequate to express one's gratitude for...
Words are inadequate to express one's gratitude for Christian Science, especially during troublous times, so I wish to add my testimony to those of many others who have received much help and encouragement from its loving ministrations, hoping it may help some one along the way.
It is more than fourteen years since I first heard of Christian Science, and during that time I have not taken a drop of medicine or used any material remedies whatever. I had been suffering for quite a while from nervousness and attacks of mental depression, also from acute stomach trouble, being afraid of everything I ate or drank. I obtained the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and asked for treatment from a practitioner. The stomach disorder was overcome almost instantaneously, and I have eaten and drunk normally ever since. The other condition was longer in yielding, but I learned many useful lessons, and much moral healing was accomplished at the same time. Christian Science has revealed to me a God whom I can understand, and has taught me man's relationship to Him. It has also illumined the pages of the Bible in a wonderful way, and completely changed my outlook on life from darkness and uncertainty to enlightenment and promise; in fact, everything I have to-day of health, happiness, and spiritual understanding I owe entirely to the teachings of Christian Science.
I am also most grateful for all the periodicals, and especially for the Lesson-Sermons which each week meet the world's great need and bring nearer the realization of our revered Leader's hope expressed on page 55 of Science and Health, for "that happy day, when man shall recognize the Science of Christ and love his neighbor as himself."
