Gratitude for the benefits and spiritual understanding which Christian Science has given me is the incentive for this testimony. Fifteen months ago this blessed Christteaching proved itself a very present help in time of trouble. I can truly rejoice in the Scripture saying, "The Lord he is God; there is none else beside him."

At the time Christian Science found me the physicians had declared I had but a short time to live and that an operation was the only hope for me. The discordant condition was overcome through Christian Science treatment in seven days, and during that time I suffered no discomfort but was uplifted to strength, freedom, peace, and joy. Organic heart trouble, which from childhood had seemed to exist, has been overcome by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. In our family there have been many healings. Measles and scarlet fever have both vielded to the truth. Last winter my little girl suffered from sore throat with croup. After three hours she told me she would like to say the Ten Commandments, and she went to sleep while saying them. For this healing I am very grateful. I know that through Christian Science we are freed from false beliefs in proportion to our understanding of and trust in God, good, and that He never fails us.

The Lesson-Sermons are helpful, as is all the Christian Science literature, in giving a better understanding of Truth and its power. These words are feeble expression of my gratitude.—(Mrs.) Maude Irwin, Roseburg, Ore.
