I have many times felt a desire to send a testimony to the Sentinel, witnessing to the power of Truth in overcoming sin and sickness in my experience. The realization of God as the infinite Father-Mother, Love, as revealed in Science and Health, has brought me almost unscathed through a number of very distressing accidents and sicknesses. In my sixteen years' experience with Christian Science, and in times of deepest gloom, one beacon light has never yet failed to bring me comfort or encouragement, and this was the thought of the unchanging, constant nature of God's love for His children under all conditions. Wherever the way was slippery and I fell, whenever I was not strong enough to resist temptation, this one thought of God, divine Love, "with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning," raised me to my feet again and gave me courage to renew my efforts. It is for this, more than for all the other blessings it has brought me, that I feel that nothing I can say or do will ever be sufficient to pay the debt I owe to God for Christian Science.
My heart goes out in gratitude that one was found as pure and loving as Mrs. Eddy, to be chosen of God to discover this wonderful law of Love.
Richard S. Bevan, Colorado Springs, Colo.
