Numberless times I have been grateful for my understanding...

Numberless times I have been grateful for my understanding of the teaching of Christian Science. Although I came into Science for physical healing I have since found that this is of less value than the other comforts it brings. One of these is a sense of ease and protection when moving from place to place. As I am enlisted in the Marine Service there is a great deal of moving to be done, and it is wonderful to know and demonstrate that Love guards you and all the property for which you are responsible on these voyages. It is also very comforting to know that we are able to carry out the numerous rightful tasks placed in our trust. Very often it has been my duty to take charge of a squad of men to carry out certain orders. My first thought is that we are God's men and that we all are to express divine Mind in perfect work and results. Sometimes work thus undertaken does not come out exactly as we planned, but afterwards we have found that we had done wisely. The effect of Truth thus applied is always most gratifying.

For these and many other reasons I am most thankful for the correct understanding of God and man as taught in Christian Science.
