In 1908 a Christian Scientist came to room in my home, and I became interested in her religion. I read Science and Health and the other literature and attended service with her, becoming very much interested and soon a regular attendant. Since that time Christian Science has supplied my every need, and all that I am and all that I have I owe to it. I have been healed of many ills and helped through some difficult experiences. Always when I have been willing to give up self and say, "Thy will be done," the seeming troubles have been overcome and I have been shown the right way. In August, 1915, I was taken with a nervous breakdown and tubercular disease of the bowels. Christian Science treatment was relied upon absolutely, and I was healed. The healing seemed slow, as I was under a practitioner's care for many months, but beautiful lessons were learned along the way. There were many wrong thoughts to correct as well as much discouragement to overcome, but always the practitioner would urge me on to further study, and many times she would say that we must love more.

I am grateful for the church services, the reading rooms, the faithful practitioners, and the Christian Science literature, which is always so helpful. I am indeed most grateful to Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader, for her Christlike life, which is an inspiration to us to work, watch, and pray more faithfully for that Mind to be in us "which was also in Christ Jesus," and to do to others as we would have them do to us.
