Eighteen years ago Christian Science came to me. One doctor had said that an operation might benefit me, while another said he could do nothing more for me and gave me no hope; but right here Christian Science intervened, and I was healed of nervous prostration, also of a spinal trouble which was very painful, besides many other disorders. I was out of bed the first day after treatment, although I had been confined to it for six weeks. I would indeed be hardhearted if I were not thankful to God for this freedom, and grateful to our beloved Leader for showing us how to know the truth and be free. Before coming into Christian Science I was always sick, never knowing a well day. Now friends and neighbors marvel at the amount of work I do.

I am so grateful for what our literature is doing; it certainly is one of our greatest preaches, for the gospel to a great extent is being sent forth through it. It is such a relief to take up a copy of one of our periodicals and know that everything printed therein is good and is true. The peace and comfort that Christian Science has brought to me cannot be written on paper, but, as our dear Leader says, we must let our lives attest our sincerity.
