Benevolent Funds of The Mother Church

"You will be interested to learn that the San Francisco churches announced from the desk last Wednesday evening that contributions would be received for the relief of the Halifax sufferers. In response to this announcement $1231.70 was donated by the members of the various congregations. On the Saturday morning following, the committee on publication wired this amount."

"This is the day set apart by our President for national thanksgiving. We are most grateful for the privilege of helping our fellow man, and give thanks to the Father-Mother God for all His tender mercies, blessings, and supply, which has been bountiful. We inclose, as a freewill offering, our 'mite,' to be devoted to the War Relief fund."

"We truly desire once more to express our deep gratitude for the help given us from the American committee. We were touched by so much kindness, especially as the help came just at the moment when we needed it."
