Out of love and gratitude I wish to acknowledge some...
Out of love and gratitude I wish to acknowledge some of the benefits received in Christian Science. I did not come to Science for physical healing, but was drawn into it through witnessing the wonderful healing of a young girl, a relative, who was suffering from tubercular disease in its advanced stage. The seed of truth was sown in my consciousness, and some years later I took up the study.
Since then I have been healed of growths in my nose. The symptoms were most distressing for I could not breathe through my nose at all and could not articulate distinctly. With the loving help of a practitioner some relief was gained, but I finally resolved to take up the work myself, and through faithfully studying our Lesson-Sermons and reading Science and Health, gradually I became better, until the healing was complete and permanent. At the birth of my little son, four years ago, Christian Science was found to be an ever present help. My husband also has been healed of a severe form of stomach disorder.
For these demonstrations, and many others, I am truly thankful to God, the giver of all good. I also wish to express my gratitude to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who so faithfully worked to overcome many obstacles in again presenting this truth to the world. Harriet D. Lease, Ft. Madison, Iowa.
