About nine and a half years ago, while suffering from a severe stomach trouble, I was advised by a friend to try Christian Science. Acting on this advice I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and read it, with the result that in less than a month I was entirely healed. I continued to read the book, and after several months found that I no longer needed eyeglasses, which had been worn for almost eight years on account of a structural defect of the eyes.

Nearly a year ago I was healed within a few days of a severe case of what is generally called pleurisy, through the earnest work of a Christian Science practitioner. I find that through putting into practice the truth contained in Science and Health I am enabled to work out very satisfactorily the many problems which have to be met in my daily life, both at home and in the business world. I am most grateful for these and many other healings, and for the knowledge I am gaining each day through the study and application of the teachings of Christian Science and the Bible. I am also most grateful for the privilege of being a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in this city.
