I have a great desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for all the blessings that have been manifested in my life since it came to my attention. At a Wednesday evening meeting I was healed of a bowel trouble from which I had suffered for twenty years. Since the age of twelve I had been afflicted with an ingrowing toe-nail, which at times was so painful that I could scarcely stand, and it was necessary to have part of the nail cut away once or twice a year by a physician. I had two Christian Science treatments for this trouble, and the nail grew out just like the others. I have also been healed of severe headaches which lasted from three to five days.

A short time ago I was taken seemingly very ill. My throat was much swollen and I had a very high fever all night. The next morning by holding to the truth I was able to attend to my usual duties till nine o'clock, when I had to lie down. As the fever was still increasing, I asked my daughter to telephone for help, but as she did not state how much in need of assistance I was, the practitioner did not arrive until two hours later. My husband said I had better send for a physician immediately, but I begged him to wait a while. Soon afterward the practitioner arrived, and in a few minutes the fever left me. I slept half an hour, and when I awoke I was hungry, for I had not been able to take food for twenty-four hours.

For these healings and many others I am deeply grateful, but I am thankful most of all for the spiritual uplift. I shall always be thankful to God for His many mercies, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for making available to us this saving truth in Christian Science.
