I have gained so much help from reading the testimonies of thanksgiving and gratitude in these pages that I would like to give my own experience. In Psalms we read, "He sent his word, and healed them," and I have proven that Christian Science is this word that heals. Not very long ago I was more afraid of a piece of pie than of almost anything. Eating to me was something to be dreaded, as I believed the food I ate would cause much suffering, and as a consequence it did. For over fifteen years I tried everything the doctors recommended, including travel, mineral springs, baths, and so on. As a last resort I tried the stomach pump, but did not experience any relief. The doctors said there was no medicine that could possibly help me.

Finally, acting on the loving advice of a friend, I asked for Christian Science treatment, and with the disappearing of the stomach trouble, malaria, colds, and headaches were overcome. The smoking habit of over twenty years' standing was completely destroyed, also much fear. For these physical healings I am very thankful. Through the study of the Bible, Science and Health, and the authorized literature issued by The Christian Science Publishing Society, so much wrong thinking and discord have been overcome and so much love and happiness and comfort have come into my consciousness, that I am indeed genuinely grateful for all that Christian Science has done and is doing for me and for all mankind.—Frank L.
