When I first heard of Christian Science I was a physical wreck, having suffered from stomach trouble for nine years. The best medical men treated me, but could not give me relief. The stomach pump was used twice daily for four months, but even this did not do me any good. Then a lady spoke to me about Christian Science, but I did not feel I could listen to it. A few days later I was taken very much worse, and she came and had another talk with me. I went to the service the next day, and the following day the stomach pump and my many medicines were put away. I asked for help in Christian Science, and treatment was given me for ten days; then I tried to work out my own salvation, but not without many struggles. In four months, however, I was healed, and since then have been able to eat any kind of food, whereas before I could not take even light food without great pain.

I am grateful for this healing, but above all for the spiritual understanding of God, which has brought great joy into my life. The Bible is a treasure to me now, where it used to be a puzzle. I am grateful for the truth Mrs. Eddy has given us, also thankful to our heavenly Father, the giver of all good.—Clara Abbott, Hull, England.
