Appreciation of Privileges

"I am writing to express my gratitude for the recent move made by the Publishing Society to increase the prices on our periodicals. It seems fitting that the Christian Scientists should assist in bearing the burden so long carried by our Publishing Society alone. I am also grateful that these prices are universal. Our periodicals are well worth the new rates, and I shall endeavor to bring this out to all subscribers through our reading room."

"We have just finished reading the announcement in the Sentinel of the increased prices to be charged for the periodicals. We are prompted to write this letter as students and rank and file workers to assure you that we shall esteem it a privilege to renew our subscriptions to the periodicals as they fall due. This is a vital hour calling for action. It is because of the thought that activity should be expressed by students individually and collectively, this brief communication of gratitude is sent."

"I read with much satisfaction that the selling price of Christian Science literature has been advanced, so that the figures may in some degree symbolize the notable rise to a higher level of spiritual unfoldment so manifest in the quality of thought that finds expression in our periodicals today. These publications, manifesting as they do the actuality of spiritual ideas, can be nothing less than a continuous expression of Truth. Loyal to the highest ideals of Truth, they equip mentality to express Truth; and who can set a price on Truth?"
