About five years ago I was instantaneously healed through Christian Science of chronic throat trouble. When the practitioner came to the house I lay on a bed of pain and suffering, and when she left I was able to dress and go for a walk with her. The fever had gone and the inflammation had subsided. The power of God was proven again at the birth of my two little ones. My children have never had a drop of medicine, and they have been healed of colds, bowel trouble, and croup. Many other discordant conditions have been overcome with the understanding of God and man's relationship to Him, as taught in Christian Science.

The Scriptures declare, "Perfect love casteth out fear;" and when I look over the past I am exceedingly grateful for this understanding of "perfect love" and the destruction of many fears. I am grateful for the Christian Science literature,—every article I read helps me, as does the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons,—also for the privilege of being counted among the Christian Scientists. My prayer is that I may ever live a life worthy of the name Christian Scientist, for only in that way can I show my gratitude to God, and to His Son; also to our Leader, who labored for mankind to make Jesus' teachings practical in this age.
