It is with a grateful heart that I testify to the quick healing through Christian Science of our fourteen year old daughter of scarlet fever and a serious throat condition. She did not feel well one morning, but as I was very much taken up with household duties during the day, I gave her scant attention. In the evening, however, it became apparent that she had high fever. As we had been adherents of Christian Science for years, it was our conviction that true healing comes through divine Love alone. I then took up work for her in Christian Science.

The third day was a Wednesday, and I attended the evening meeting, but upon my return found the child in a very serious condition. For a moment it seemed as if I would be overcome by fear, but the beautiful words which I had heard at the service gave me new strength and enabled me to declare the truth with conviction. To my great joy I became aware of an immediate improvement in the child's condition, and there was decided progress during the following days. Owing to her absence from school, however, the teacher asked for a medical certificate, and I had to send for a physician. He stated that the case was scarlet-diphtheria. We did not apply the medical prescriptions, however, but continued to declare the truth, with the result that after a few days the child was completely healed of the disease.

We are most deeply grateful to God for this healing, but more especially for having been led to know this truth which frees us from all disharmony and all bodily ills. We also feel greatly indebted to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for revealing to us anew this glorious Christ-teaching, and our endeavor is to gain more understanding of this truth.
