Excerpts from Letters Received

"In grateful appreciation of the many benefits received from Christian Science, as taught by and exemplified in the life of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, the board of directors of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Tallahassee, Florida, encloses herewith a check for five hundred dollars ($500). The board desires to leave the choice of the two movements, recently set forth in the article 'Looking Forward,' to which this money shall be applied, to the discretion of your body."

"At a recent meeting of the members of Tenth Church of Christ, Scientist, of Chicago, it was unanimously voted to devote the collections of Sunday, Dec. 31, 1916, to the Christian Science Benevolent Association, said collection to be expended as the Association sees fit; and many were the expressions of gratitude for the splendid opportunity afforded to the field in such a demonstration of universal cooperation.

"We are sending this initial contribution of eighteen hundred and four dollars and twenty-six cents ($1804.26), of which sum the Sunday school contributed two hundred and twenty-six dollars ($226), as a symbol of the deep welling joy which is filling the hearts of Tenth Church at being thus privileged to assist in the great work."
