I have been healed by absent treatment of an aggravated form of rheumatism through the faithful work of a Christian Science practitioner, and I feel more grateful than words can express. For over twelve years I had worn glasses for defective vision. They had to be ground every year or two, and the optician said the last time they were changed that they could not be altered again. I was relieved, however, of all this difficulty by reading Science and Health and with some help from a Christian Science friend. At another time I had attacks of blindness which would come on at any time. I got Science and Health and began to read, though I could see but very little. I kept on for perhaps ten minutes, and the mist cleared and has not returned.

There have been other instances of help received through reading Science and Health, and I am thankful that I was led to this healing truth. I hope my testimony may be the means of helping some one in distress, as I was before beginning to read Christian Science literature. I was despondent, did not care to live, had not been inside a church for two years, but I can now look forward with a bright hope.
