A great love for Christian Science comes to me as I begin...

A great love for Christian Science comes to me as I begin to realize the abundance of good it has brought into my life. It has given me a happy home, and each day my gratitude grows as thought unfolds in the knowing that all true things are of God. It has made me a more intelligent wife and a better mother. I was first healed in Christian Science of stomach trouble, but for some time afterward did not know what had healed me, as I had asked the practitioner not to talk to me of religion, thinking I had all the religion I wanted. But as other difficulties came into my life, trials and anxieties for which I knew medicines would be useless, I began to wonder what it was that had brought my release from suffering, so I turned to "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and there found what I then knew I had always wanted. Since that time I have had many healings, for Christian Science has met every need.

The proof of God's care in a case of what was named painters' colic meant much to me when I was young in the study of Science. Although at the time I was unconscious of my surroundings, in reality I was conscious of the thought that in God I live and move and have my being. I came to myself enough to tell those around me to call a Christian Science practitioner, but immediately became unconscious again. As I seemed to be suffering intense pain, it was hard for those caring for me not to administer material aid, for they were not Scientists. I was nevertheless healed, and had the opportunity of knowing how blessed we are in having practitioners who are willing to give their time and patience to help us in our first feeble footsteps in the way of Truth.

With Christian Science care, childbirth five and a half years ago was made an experience of gladness. It was entirely harmonious and almost painless under what would otherwise have been trying circumstances. When the baby was less than three years old he fell, cutting a deep gash under his chin. I talked to him to God's loving care and he was soon about his play. He came to me again, however, and said, "There is a hurt coming, mother." I told him when the hurt tried to come, to think of something good instead,—to think of God. He went into the other room, and presently, as I heard no sound, I looked in, and found him sitting in his little chair. He said he was thinking of the Lord's Prayer. I told him that was good, very good, and stepped out, leaving him to his own thought. Then I heard him softly repeat the words of the prayer. Nothing more was heard about the cut, which healed up beautifully. This is only one of many such instances when I have been brought more clearly to see that truly a little child shall lead us. In November I gave birth to a little girl without pain, and it was a greater realization of joy than I can express.
