We have, perhaps, had more blessings than the average...

We have, perhaps, had more blessings than the average family. Obstacles have been overcome, harmony brought into the home, and demonstrations made in healing which should convince the most skeptical of the healing power of God when understood in Christian Science.

We were asked by friends to try this treatment for the healing of our little boy, who had been stricken with what was diagnosed as infantile paralysis and was helpless from the neck down. We tried many doctors and specialists, used electricity and massage, and submitted to numerous operations, but could not bring ourselves to agree to six more operations asked for by the last specialist. We knew nothing of Christian Science and were very skeptical, I myself even ridiculing the thought that it could help the child. I consented, however, to my wife's attendance at a Sunday service, and she persuaded me to accompany her the following week. I was so impressed with the service that we called on a practitioner, who accepted the case.

The legs and arms, which the doctor said had dead muscles and would grow thin, filled out to normal. The child's general health is perfect; he is growing fast and equally in every part, is able to run his little automobile along the sidewalk, and has started in school, passing the physical examination required at this time. Since that time the boy has been healed of attacks of bronchial pneumonia, which he had with unusual severity every winter, and which the doctor informed us he would have to outgrow.
