I have often wanted to express my gratitude for Christian Science and what it has done for me. Some five or six years ago I underwent two operations, the last one being the only hope left me, according to the doctor, who said that the hemorrhages would be fatal. The surgeon did all he could for me and was kindness itself, but during the following year I was most miserable, mentally and physically, and suffered terribly.
One day, while in a little store near where I was staying, a lady spoke to me of Christian Science, and two weeks later I went to a practitioner. In three weeks I was healed, so that I was able to go home and take up my work again, much to the surprise of all my friends. I am a stronger woman now than ever in my life, and have lost only one day from business in a year. Since then I have had many other healings, some slower than others, but the truth has never failed. I have solved many problems to my own satisfaction and rejoice to say other members of the family have been helped. My brother has been healed of stomach and bowel troubles, supposedly inherited.
I feel most grateful to our Leader for the Wednesday evening meetings, for the provision of the reading-room, for all the literature; and to every one who has helped me along this journey from sense to Soul I am indeed thankful.
