A few years ago, while living in Terre Haute, Ind., my little daughter fell from a ladder and was hurt, but not knowing the extent of the injury we paid little attention to it. In a short while, however, we noticed that when the child walked her legs seemed stiff, and a few days later she lost control of them entirely; then it was observed that she had curvature of the spine. We called a Christian Science practitioner at once, and after the third treatment the spine became straight and natural. It was some time before she regained the use of her legs, and she was unable to move without assistance; but the practitioner continued treatment, and gradually the legs became natural so that with our help she was able to walk, and at the end of three months she was well and happy. She was healed of a structural defect of the eyes in five treatments. These were certainly very beautiful demonstrations of the power of Truth.

In the early fall of the same year I nursed a very bad case of tuberculosis, and before long that dread disease was manifested on my body. While in this condition a great sorrow came into my life, my beloved husband passing on suddenly. My home was broken up and my little daughter (not at that time fully recovered) and I were left almost penniless to struggle on alone. It seemed as if I had more than I could bear, but through the power of Truth I was healed in a short time. That was over six years ago.

My constant prayer is that I may follow the leadings of Truth, so as to be able to do for others what has been done for me. I am truly thankful to God for all the blessings that are so richly showered upon me and mine.
