Since I am a living witness to the healing power of Truth...

Since I am a living witness to the healing power of Truth as taught in Christian Science, and my heart is filled with gratitude to God, I write this testimony. My home circle consists of my father, my mother, and two brothers. My brothers and I are grown up, and we have never taken medicine or had a doctor. Christian Science has been our only remedy for over twenty-three years.

A few years ago some work had to be done on my teeth, but somehow I always had a little fear, so the first day I went to the dentist's office a Christian Science practitioner accompanied me. She gave me one treatment and I gor along finely. Later on, two teeth had to be crowned, so the practitioner gave me another treatment, and this was all the help I had until the work was finished. There was no pain to speak of, and I am very thankful for this experience. One Christmas I caught cold and to mortal sense it seemed to become a bad case of mumps. I tried to treat myself, and my mother helped me, too, but as I appeared to get worse she went to see a practitioner who lives about seven miles away. It was late in the afternoon before she got to the Scientist's home, but about midnight I began to feel better and went to sleep and slept until morning. I felt better that day, though still very weak; but I soon gained strength absent could eat anything. This healing was effected through absent treatment, and I am deeply grateful for it.

My eldest brother had what is called a felon on one of his fingers. A practitioner treated him and in about a week it was all gone. The old nail gave place to a new one and his finger looks the same as ever. He worked every day cutting wood and never felt any pain.
