It is with the deepest sense of love for God, and of gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, that I give this testimony in proof of the healing power of Christian Science. I have been helped many times since coming into Science. I was healing of what seemed a very severe throat affection in about three treatments, and of a slight attack of acute lung trouble in a week, through the spiritual understanding of a Christian Science practitioner.

Some time ago I had the opportunity to prove the efficacy of Christian Science through my own understanding. I was visiting at the home of my brother, and when going from the kitchen into the dining-room, I caught my finger in the swinging door and hurt it badly. I turned immediately from material sense with the declaration, "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all" (Science and Health, p. 468). I knew that if all is Mind, there could be no accidents, because Mind is not subject to material conditions. The sense of pain was overcome instantaneously, and by the next morning there was no trace of the injury. This little incident proved to me that Christian Science heals every sense of error. The physical healing is nothing, however, when compared with the understanding of God which I have gained through the study of Christian Science.
