For twenty years I suffered from sciatic rheumatism during the winter months. At times it would be of a mild form and I could keep at work; but other attacks would be so severe that I would have to quit work for several weeks. I was treated by a number of physicians, and while they generally relieved me, they were not able to effect a cure. As I grew older, the disease became more severe and the attacks more frequent. I tried many material remedies, also changes of climate, but relief was only temporary. In February, 1908, I had a very bad attack and was almost helpless for a number of days. I grew steadily worse, and after trying everything we could think of, my wife recommended that I try Christian Science, as she had been benefited by it some time before. I wrote to a practitioner and sent the letter that day. The next morning I had relief, and in two days was entirely cured. The trouble has never returned. We have had many demonstrations of the efficacy of Christian Science in our family since this healing.

I am truly thankful for the help I have received to live a more Christian life; and I am very grateful to our dear Leader, who has been able to show the world that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494).
