I am so grateful and happy that I would like to tell others what Christian Science has done for me, and what a wonderful change it has made in my life. A few years ago I was a physical wreck from heart disease, an injured spine, nervousness, a severe bowel trouble, constant colds, besides fear and unhappiness. The belief was that I had not a healthy organ in my whole body, and the future was a dreary picture, full of dark forebodings,—but how different everything is now! All the ailments have vanished, and I am well. The heart disease left me in a few weeks after turning to Christian Science, and all the other complaints disappeared very quickly. The future, instead of being dark, is light and full of the treasures of Truth, for which I am eager to work as well as to search.

I also suffered from asthma for over twenty-four years. I had tried different climates without any relief, and while in Europe had been examined by one of the foremost physicians in Leipzig. He pronounced my case incurable, as he claimed it was caused by the condition of the heart, and said that I must always be very careful to try to ward off the attacks, which used to leave me very weak. Now, however, through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon and my effort to live up to the truth, this ailment has gradually disappeared, and changes of climate and foggy weather no longer affect me. Does any one wonder that I am happy? But there is a deeper cause for my happiness than being freed from sickness, and it is the knowledge that God is ever present in time of trouble and that there is a power to help us to be purer, more loving, and of more use in the world.

I have been gradually freed from the worry and fear so common among mothers, when their little ones are not well, and as a result my two children are much healthier and better in every way than before we understood about Christian Science. They have experienced very quick healings in cases of colds, fevers, mumps, and injuries, and as a result of their attendance at the Christian Science Sunday school they are learning to help themselves. I have the deepest reverence for Mrs. Eddy, and many times think of how steadfastly she clung to God, that all mankind might be able to understand divine Love as she so clearly revealed it.
