I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science...

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me, in the hope that some other wife and mother, having a similar experience, may read my testimony and find a gleam of comfort in it. I had been an invalid for twenty-five years, and during the last five years was in bed all the time. Hope of ever getting better was gone. I had tried every available remedy, but found no permanent help. Finally, I seemed unable to get even temporary relief; therefore, after being persistently urged by my sister, who had been healed of a so-called incurable disease, to try Christian Science, I turned to it as a last resort. I had not the slightest belief that it could help me, though I was perfectly willing to give it a trial. I felt stronger and better as soon as I began to read the copy of Science and Health which my sister very kindly sent me. Then I secured the help of a faithful practitioner, with the result that today I am well and strong. I have not taken medicine or used material remedies of any kind for over seven years, but have depended upon the great Physician alone.

Christian Science has helped me to overcome fear, which had kept my life full of dark shadows, and has given me peace instead, with a great trust in God's goodness and love to all of His children. It has filled my heart so full of love that my one desire is to learn God's will, and learning it, to have strength to obey. This teaching has been of untold benefit to my family; and in my own life I have daily proof of the power and strength which even a small understanding of Christian Science gives. Words are inadequate to express my thankfulness for all the blessings it has brought me.
