In August, 1914, erysipelas manifested itself very severely on my face. The physician whom I called in designated the trouble as a very tedious and contagious one and interdicted my being with my relative; but things took a different turn. I used no material remedies, but asked without delay for help from a Christian Science practitioner. My relatives had no fear of contagion, neither was there any ill communicated to them. When the physician called again he was very much surprised at finding me active in the store.
Last winter I suffered with cramps of the stomach, which recurred every week and finally every day. Through treatment along Christianly scientific lines this condition was healed, and I have not experienced any such trouble since. I am thankful to God and grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the help brought me in my need.
Erna Höfener, Nordstemmen (Hannover), Germany.
