I send this testimony in the hope that it may benefit some one who is in need of immediate help. An acquaintance gave me a bottle of liniment, saying it would relieve me of severe bowel disorder, to which I had been subject for a long time. She did not, however, tell me how to use it. I was seized with one of the usual spells and ran at once for the remedy; but instead of applying it externally I took it internally, in all about a tablespoonful. I began to feel dizzy, and more alarming symptoms manifested themselves, until finally I could move a limb. My mother was called, and being a Christian Scientist, she at once went to a practitioner to ask for treatment. I was in agony when she left the house, but was sleeping peacefully when she returned. Upon awaking shortly afterward I was seized with nausea, but went right to sleep again and slept for an hour or so. When I awoke my limbs were free and I walked around the room feeling perfectly well. I slept peacefully the rest of the night, and arose quite early the next morning none the worse for my condition the night before. The bottle was taken to a local drug-store and the druggist said the contents were poisonous. He inquired whether any one had taken any of the liniment, and on being told I had taken a tablespoonful, he said it was impossible, for a much smaller quantity would have killed me.

I thank God that relief came to me instantaneously, for I am sure if my mother had not asked for Christian Science treatment I would not be here today. This was my first experience in Christian Science, and I have never had any return of the bowel trouble since.
