Fantasy—Reality
Imprisoned?
No! There are no bars between
Us and our good. What seems to hold us fast
Is but illusion's fancied bond, dream-woven:
The warp, the woof, the weaver,—all are but
A fantasy, imagination's child,
Fear born, fear nurtured, and by fear enthralled.
Imprisoned? No! This fearsome, earth-born child
Is not of God or of His image, man.
Man knows no fear: he knows no Mind but God;
And man does aye express the wisdom, strength;
The beauty and the power of Life and Love,—
The Christ, who ever comes to heal and save!
