I take much pleasure in expressing my thankfulness for help...
I take much pleasure in expressing my thankfulness for help received in Christian Science. Before I knew of this teaching, I was subject to attacks of lumbago, with which I would be laid up for a week or more, and on some occasions I felt the effects for quite a long period afterward. When I had the last attack, however, I asked for Christian Science treatment and experiences almost immediate relief. In a short time the trouble had entirely disappeared and I felt quite myself again. This to me was a wonderful demonstration of the power of Truth, for I was not laid up a single day or hour, and was able to attend to my business duties as usual. I am very grateful for my healing.
I. A. Pooler, South Norwood, S. E., London, England.
I am truly grateful for the almost immediate relief I experienced through absent treatment from a Christian Science practitioner when I was suffering from pleurisy in July, 1912. Before coming into Science I had been ill for six weeks with the same ailment, and was in bed a fortnight or more with a doctor attending me. I am thankful to say, however, that on the last occasion, although the attack was very sharp and I could breathe only with great difficulty, yet in a few hours after I sent for help in Christian Science I was feeling much better, and that night I was able to sleep almost undisturbed. I had scarcely been able to lie down at all, as the cough was so troublesome, and sleep was quite out of the question; but thanks to the healing power of Truth, the symptoms were soon destroyed and overcome. I was able to keep about and perform all the duties necessary for me to do, and I was quite my normal self in a week or less. I am very thankful to say that the healing has been permanent.
