I feel that I cannot refrain from giving my testimony
I feel that I cannot refrain from giving my testimony. In 1911 I met with an accident, a motor-cycle running into me. According to the testimony of eye-witnesses, I was thrown against the curbstone. I sustained severe internal injuries and contusions of the feet. As there was no one at home except my twelve-year-old daughter, the manager of the house thought it best to call in a physician, who made an examination and gave his instructions. Soon afterward, when my oldest daughter came back from the office, I requested her to go to a Christian Scientist and ask for treatment for me, since the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons had left no doubt in my mind as to the truth of the Biblical statements in regard to healing. With two treatments I improved perceptibly, and in a week's time I was able to attend to my household duties.
I am deeply thankful to God, who heals all our diseases and bestows His benefits upon us, and I am also grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
