It is now several years since I experienced a wonderful healing through Christian Science, and words cannot express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her tireless effort to spread this truth throughout the world.

For many weary years I suffered terribly, and was told by physicians that an operation was necessary; but feeling that no lasting benefit results from operations, I would not consent to have one performed. I had suffered from bowel trouble most of my life, and my kidneys were badly affected. Last but not least, in my breast there developed what the physicians told me was a malignant growth. For this I was given medicine for external application, also drugs to take internally; but the latter were so nauseating that I was compelled to give them up, and then all hope fled. My father and two of his brothers had passed away from this same disease, so the outlook was very dark for me.

I had suffered greatly for over two years, when my husband heard of the wonderful healing wrought through Christian Science and insisted that I should try it. I could not believe it would reach my case, however, so I did not take treatment until a friend was healed of heart trouble by this teaching, and I saw what a miracle was performed in her case. This friend also gave me some literature, which was indeed a great revelation to me, for I had no idea of what Christian Science was.
