Great Falls, Mont.—First Church of Christ, Scientist, was organized Dec. 28, 1904. The first meeting was held on Jan. 5, 1905, in room 19, Conrad Block, and on that day it was incorporated under the laws of the state of Montana. This room soon became too small, and Conrad hall in the same building was used for that purpose. In March, 1906, the congregation moved to the lecture hall in the Great Falls public library. They worshiped there until May, 1911, when they moved to the Valeria Public Library Building. At that time the congregation purchased the lot on the corner of First avenue north and Eleventh street from the Great Falls Townsite Company. In August of the same year, ground was broken for the church building, and on Aug. 28 the corner-stone was laid. The building was completed in November, and on Thanksgiving day of 1911 the first church services were held there.
