I am grateful to Christian Science for what the understanding of Truth has done for me. I was led to this healing by picking up a Sentinel in a hair-dresser's shop. I opened at a page where a testimony was given which told of the help the writer had received in business affairs.

I was suffering from a nervous complaint, brought on through constant worry, anxiety, and other troubles, and this condition was taking all interest out of my life. It was during April, 1912, that things seemed to be coming to a crisis, as my health and business both seemed hopeless. A doctor was called in, and after the fourth visit he told my wife that I must be put in an asylum or he could not be responsible for the consequences. I am glad to say, however, that my wife would not hear of my being put away. I had been treated by a Christian Science practitioner, and as he called at the house after the doctor had left he was told what the latter had said. He then came into my room and spoke to me with a voice full of cheer, and immediately the condition which had seemed to hold me in such bondage fell away. I was at the same time suffering from heart disease and great weakness, but with the constant application of divine Truth I have been enabled to overcome these discords, and I am now healthier and stronger than I have ever been. I am also proving by this understanding of God, that in divine Love is my supply, as our Saviour said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." My sincere desire is to become more and more like a true Christian Scientist and a constant follower of our faithful Leader.

I am grateful for the physical healings, but these are nothing in comparison with the spiritual uplift I get from the Bible as interpreted through our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I send this testimony with the hope that it may help others, as this understanding of God as divine Love has helped me.
