From Our Exchanges

[Rev. Cavendish Moxon, B.A., in The Christian Commonwealth]

The churches are being transplanted into a new world of thought, and once more what is old and ready to perish must die in order that the church may live and serve as an organ for the Spirit in the coming age. But why should we doubt the power of the Spirit to readjust and reembody the Christianity of the past? And if we have this faith in the supremacy of the Spirit of truth, shall we not hear His voice in the world-wide, modern, and liberating movement in all the churches? Shall we not pray above all that the churches may not expel the only power that can preserve their life and fashion a body that will be a truer and fuller expression of the Spirit of Christ?
