Some time ago my little girl, aged six years, was taken ill with scarlet fever. As she was not a strong child, we felt that if she had to go through with this illness, there was small chance for her recovery. Her father and I thought the matter over carefully, and decided to send for a Christian Science practitioner. We had received help in Science previous to this, and although the child was very ill, we decided to have treatment for one day, the practitioner telling us that if there was no change for the better she would be quite willing for us to call a doctor. She came to the house about ten o'clock in the morning, and again about nine o'clock in the evening, and the next day before noon I could not keep the child in bed, so I dressed her. In the afternoon she played with her little brother, and did not go back to bed until her regular bedtime. She continued to improve, and in a few days was quite well. She is now a much stronger child than she used to be, and has had no bad after effects.
The healing was so plain that it could not be ignored, and we feel very grateful for the help received through Christian Science. We are trying to gain an understanding of it, so as to be able to live it.
