With the hope of benefiting others I wish gratefully to acknowledge my healing, through the efficacy of Christian Science, of organic stomach disorder, catarrh of the bowels, uterine hemorrhages, and other troubles. My case was pronounced incurable, but through an earnest and diligent study of the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I found health, happiness, and peace, for by its divine Principle I was healed not only of the physical diseases, but of a great sorrow which no other power could ever have effaced.
While my heart is filled with gratitude for the physical healing, yet the greatest joy and blessing that has ever come into my life is the illumination of the Scriptures, the spiritual understanding which a careful and earnest study of the Christian Science text-book has enabled me to obtain. It has furnished me with many proofs that "the exterminator of error is the great truth that God, good, is the only Mind" (Science and Health, p. 469). If we accept this teaching and apply it to our human experiences, thought will be lifted above physical ills and discord, and all untoward conditions, into the haven of peace.
A few years ago my two daughters were stricken with a so-called contagious disease. The physician was notified and we were quarantined. Before going away, the physician, knowing I was a Christian Scientist, said he supposed I did not want him to leave any medicine. He spoke in a kind, courteous manner, and I thanked him, saying I would rather he did not. I felt confident that divine Love could and would do as much for my children as it had done for me.
