The Relief Fund

In the Sentinel of Oct. 24 announcement was made of a fund which was to be collected for the relief of Christian Scientists who by reason of their residence in the countries affected by the present European war are temporarily distressed. The Board of Directors of The Mother Church are glad to announce that at their request William D. McCrackan, C.S.B., of the Christian Science board of lectureship, has kindly consented to go to these countries and arrange for the necessary committees, that this fund may be quickly dispensed in the best way. In order to perform this office Mr. McCrackan has been obliged to cancel some lecture engagements and probably will not be able to make further appointments prior to Jan. 15, 1915.
