EUREKA SPRINGS, ARK.—At six o'clock this morning [Aug. 15] the corner-stone of the Christian Science church building, in course of construction on Mountain street, was laid with simple ceremony. The Christian Scientists have maintained an organization here since 1896. During these years services have been held in various places in the city. Feeling the need of a permanent church home, the Scientists let a contract for the erection of a church edifice on lots on Mountain street that had been purchased some years ago. Ground was broken on July 1 last, and the building has been progressing nicely since that time. The contract calls for the completion of the building by Jan. 1, 1915.—Daily Times.
