Permit us to call to your attention a misstatement of Christian Science...

Permit us to call to your attention a misstatement of Christian Science by Edwin F. Bowers, M.D., in your magazine section recently.

Christian Science does not ignore disease, but brings about its destruction by reducing it to its proper denomination, namely, nothingness. Physics teaches that nothing can be added to a vessel already full. This sound reasoning is universally accepted. Christian Science declares that God is good, that He is Spirit, and if He made all that was made, there ceases to be place for anything but that which is spiritual and good. The only existence which evil has, must therefore be a suppositions existence, which has no more reality than a proposition in physics which might declare that something can be added to a vessel already full. Christian Science is a system of exact reasoning based upon divine Principle, and for this reason is entitled to and is receiving the consideration of thinking people throughout the world.

That the teachings of Christian Science are based on truth, is being made evident in the healing of all manner of diseases, many of them considered by the medical profession to be incurable.
