I hope the readers of the Sentinel will find the same joy and gladness in reading my testimony that I find in reading the testimonies of others. For the past six years God, divine Mind, as revealed and understood in Christian Science, has been to me a "very present help" in solving my physical, mental, and business problems.

Before I came into Christian Science my eyes were affected at certain times so that I could not distinguish objects clearly, for whatever I gazed upon appeared to be doubled. Through Christian Science, however, the cause of this trouble was uncovered and I was set free. Last summer one of my eyes became seriously bloodshot, and according to human opinions seemed in an alarming condition, but I sought the help of a Christian Science practitioner, and within two weeks the eye was restored to its normal condition. During the time my eye was thus affected, I was not hindered to any great extent in performing my daily work, which necessitates the close application of my eyes.

There has been only one occasion for me to remain home from work on account of illness since I became interested in Christian Science. That was when I had contracted a severe cold, manifesting itself in a throat affection, fever, weakness, etc. Again I received help from a practitioner, and was healed within a week; and the peace which accompanied this healing was indeed the "peace of God, which passeth all [human] understanding."
