All who have experienced the healing touch of divine Love, feel the responsibility of telling other suffering mortals about the way of escape. I want the world to know the omnipotent love and power of God to destroy the terrible evil and misery of mortal existence. I had desired Christian Science a long time before it was my privilege to read the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and I was led in devious ways before reaching Christian Science. I naturally believed in divine healing from proofs of the destruction of evil, mental and physical disease, through simple childlike faith in God and His Christ, and I am forever grateful for these proofs that all that is unlike God, good, even very serious evil and suffering, can, when renounced, be destroyed; that the corrupt, worthless "old man," according to St. Paul, can be "put off," if we but turn to the pure spiritual truth taught by Christ Jesus, turn positively, and refuse, as Christian Science teaches us, to dwell at all upon the material. To live right in the present is the only way to redeem the past.

Christian Science has thrown wonderful light on the Scriptures, and the passage, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die," has become most comforting and helpful with the understanding that "soul" in the passage means sinful sense; for it is a positive promise that all evil, from the greatest to the least, is doomed by God to complete extinction, and the sooner we get to work with Him to this end, the sooner we shall get rid of the inevitable suffering of sin. I am very thankful for the revelation Christian Science gives that evil is not man and no part of man, any more than a poisonous reptile fastened to the hand would be a part of the human body, for "man is not material; he is spiritual" (Science and Health, p. 468); and by knowing and clinging faithfully to it, what is unlike God, good, is destroyed.

The most joyous thing is that this message is universal. "All flesh shall see the salvation of God," for "our God is a consuming fire" to all unlike Himself, good, to all that does not bring glory and honor to Him and good to man. Christ Jesus said, "Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." A careful study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings gives many assurances of the certain destruction of evil, and we that have proved them, know them to be true. I know from my own experience and that of others, that there is hope for all, even those in the most despairing state, from whatever cause.
