We heard of Christian Science several months ago, and I feel greatly indebted for the many benefits we have received since that time. I am unable to express my gratitude in words for the kindness shown to me by the one who explained the truth to me. We daily experience the fact that it is possible for us to reject the claims of evil and declare them null and void on the basis of the knowledge that God is omnipresent Love, which is constantly being revealed to us, and therefore that we are at all times able to overcome the sense of fear.
Through Christian Science I was healed in two weeks' time of a leg trouble, the pain leaving me after the first treatment. Since childhood I had suffered with severe pain in the stomach, and later on an abdominal complaint manifested itself, with much attendant nervousness; but all these ills have been healed. My husband joins me in giving this testimony, since he, too, used to be ailing constantly. One of us was always afficted in some way; but there has come a thorough change in our lives, all troubles having vanished as if blown away by the wind. It will be our firm endeavor to attain to that understanding of Truth which will make our lives more and more harmonious as we walk in the holy paths of Christian Science. I thank God from the depths of my heart for all these benefits, and also thank our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way to divine Love.—
Frau Emma Elend, Hannover, Germany.
