The Christian Science lecture delivered by Prof. Hermann S. Hering at Odd Fellows' hall was attended by a large audience. Charles H. Merrill of the local church introduced the speaker as follows:—

The world today, from nation to individual, is reaching out for peace, harmony, and freedom from sin, disease, and death. Christ Jesus said nineteen centuries ago, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." He came showing humanity what this truth was. Today Christian Science is showing humanity what this truth is that makes men free, and how it can be obtained. Five years ago my case was pronounced by the physicians as incurable. The understanding of this truth through the study of Christian Science, made me free. This afternoon we shall hear from one who by his own proofs and demonstration is able to give you some knowledge of Christian Science.
