For four years I was a sufferer from gout, for which I tried every conceivable means and method of cure; but the physicians lost hope of my recovery, and I was afraid lest I should become paralyzed. I then became acquainted with Christian Science, and having never heard of its teachings before, I was enabled to approach the subject without prejudice. I immediately had Christian Science treatment, and my healing progressed slowly but steadily. Being quite versed in materia medica, I naturally experienced some difficulty in remodeling my thought along Christian Science lines, but my healing was complete. I recovered all my former strength, and am able to undertake walking tours of several hours' duration with my children, a thing I had been unable to do for a long time. I was also freed of chronic hoarseness, with which I had been troubled for three years. My three girls, who were ailing a good deal formerly, have been healthy and strong since we started to work according to the teachings of Christian Science. We constantly experience new blessings in our daily lives through this glorious teaching, and we are deeply grateful to God for having become partakers of His love and truth through the ministration of Mrs. Eddy.
