About four years ago I was healed of a very serious throat trouble through Christian Science. I had been examined by five physicians, four of them claiming that there were symptoms of tubercular disease. I was then placed under the treatment of one of the most noted throat specialists in the country, and remained there for a number of months, with very little benefit but at considerable expense. I could scarcely speak above a whisper, was greatly depressed both physically and mentally, and my life sentence was pronounced very short. Finally the physician told me that I would have to go to a higher altitude, as he could do nothing more for me. I, however, felt that there was something for me besides a change of climate, and it was at this time that a friend urged me to try Christian Science. I went to a practitioner and began taking treatment, not unbelieving, for I had heard of many remarkable cures through Christian Science, but I had very little understanding of the Principle of true living.

My improvement began with the first treatment, and while my healing was rather slow, I did not once feel the least sense of discouragement, for I was getting what I so much desired, and in six months I was perfectly well and strong. The actual expense during this time probably did not exceed fifty dollars. For years previous to this I was not strong, and had very little endurance, but now Christian Science meets my every need, and I cannot be too grateful for this inspiring truth, the truth that makes one free mentally and physically.
