I desire to acknowledge the many wonderful blessings...
I desire to acknowledge the many wonderful blessings which have come to me through Christian Science, and with a thankful heart I give my testimony to the unlimited power of infinite Love. Five years ago I believed myself to be a wreck physically, and in a way mentally, for I was very nervous in consequence of the effect other troubles had upon me. I was afflicted with sciatica, stomach trouble, and dizziness. Physicians would not give me medicine for the rheumatism, as my stomach would reject it. I had had this difficulty for thirty years or more, subsisting half the time on liquid food, until sometimes I lost all desire to live, and it was in this condition that Christian Science found me. I called in a practitioner who lived near me, and her loving care brought me up out of the depths in a short time, with great rejoicing that I had found out how easy it is to commune with our heavenly Father. I had been a member of a church for twenty-three years, but after I came into the light of Christian Science I felt that I had been blind. Since the first I have had many demonstrations for myself and others, showing me what it means to be truly a child of God.
Some three years ago I moved away to a place where there were no Christian Scientists and no church. This has been a great deprivation, but I realize that God is here, and I am happy in His love and care, trying to grow in grace from day to day. Fear comes up at times, but the way is clear, and I am trying to walk in it. My daily prayer is for wisdom to recognize the divine leading and to be able to demonstrate my faith by my works.
