About twelve years ago, a humble woman who had been working for me gave me a little book to read, and knowing that she must have made a sacrifice to buy it, I promised to read it, little thinking what it would reveal to me. The book, which was "Unity of Good" by Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, gave me a great desire for more of the good news, and I began to inquire for more books by the same author. Finally, I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and subscribed for the periodicals of The Christian Science Publishing Society. My mother also became interested, and my children are in sympathy with me.

During the twelve years since then we have been helped to live better and more healthy lives. In sorrow, temptation, and sickness, by turning to divine Truth as found through the Bible and Science and Health, we have gained peace. My husband passed on when I was young in Science, and I then found it a balm for sorrow.

My eldest daughter was brought safely through confinement when two able physicians were fearful for her safety, and my youngest daughter was healed of an attack of illness in four days after the doctor had pronounced it a bad case of typhoid. Words cannot express the help Truth has been in aiding me to try to live up to Christ's standard. My heart goes out in thanksgiving for the pure life of our dear Leader, whereby she was made a fit channel for the truth. I am also very thankful to her devoted followers who have helped to make possible the literature of the Publishing Society.
