Referring to an editorial in a recent issue, it should be stated that Christian Science is neither "new hypnotism" nor old, and it is as truly not "psychic cure," "psychotherapeutic treatment," "suggestion," or "scientific use of mind influence." Christian Science is not a system of mental healing, as the term is ordinarily applied; it is essentially and primarily a religion. Its real concern is not with the relief of physical ills, for its activities are wholly moral. The physical healing associated with Christian Science is incidental to the spiritual regeneration that is the object of all its effort, and such an effect is impossible of attainment through any mere "don't worry" formula.
